The scorching hot weather returned on Sunday so tomorrow morning I'm going down to the lake for a couple/few days and will be away from the keyboard. There is usually a breeze off the lake and it can be quite comfortable down there.
If it gets too hot I can always "go jump in the lake" and cool off :y2:
There are also some "chores" that need to be done that can only be done in fine weather so I'll have something to keep me busy. Winter is hard on buildings so every year there are always minor fix-ups/repairs needed.
Last week we had a break from the unseasonably hot weather of a couple of weeks ago, but it's back up into the 32-34C range which is very unusual here for coastal temps. At least the humidity isn't as high as it was a couple of weeks ago.
Down at the lake there are lots of trees for shade, and I can work mostly in the shade, so the "chores" won't be that much of a chore.

Thanks Dave.
I like working with my hands and using tools so in a way I'm looking forward to the things I have to do - plus I like to stay busy and wasn't cut out to just sit around doing nothing.
I'm also looking forward to a dip in the lake as every day with this heat we're setting records for the time of year.

Thanks guys TUP
The funny thing is, I like doing odds and ends and find it relaxing doing just that - and taking whatever time I need to do it :y2:
I'll be doing this off and on over the summer. Nothing is too pressing.

"Chores" are always more enjoyable without a "rigid schedule". I feel the same way, Shannon calls it "puttering around the garage" .........I call it relaxing, and hey I get stuff done, eventually. And often times with way less problems than if you rush.
Pace yourself Rocky, pace yourself and enjoy :y2:

Had a couple of great days at the lake.
It was quite hot, but there was a breeze off the lake.
I got quite a bit done; minor carpentry repairs; trimmed back some bushes; cut down some small trees; mowed grass.
There is no lawn at the lake property, but the open areas seem to naturally grass over and need mowing from time to time.
It certainly doesn't take nature long to take over if you don't keep beating back the bushes and growth.
Fir trees look nice but often want to grow where you don't want a tree. Some are "cute" and left for a few years, but eventually they get too big and have to go before they get too tall to handle alone.
I enjoy the physical activity even though it was hot and sweaty work, and I did "go jump in the lake" to cool off :y2:
I took my wife out for a lobster supper last night, but it's going to rain tonight so we came home a little early.

COOL stuff Rocky so you did not work to hard at it then
Naaaa, hardly did anything at all :y2: :y15:
There are still some of those "cute" fir trees that will have to be removed over the summer as they are getting in the way and also blocking the view.
There is always something to do and without a few chores to keep me busy (at my own pace of course) I would be bored half to death.
Work a little; sit a little; swim a little; repeat as necessary :y2:
