In World War 2, in connection with the Army Air Force, there were three "big" top secret things: the Norden bomb sight, the BOMB, and radar. I've been reading the autobiography, written at age 97, of a man that trained aircrews (U.S. and allied) in the use of radar. Very interesting guy!! CarlS might have run into Irving Korwin, because he lived in Hunters Run, Boynton Beach, Fl for quite a while. Irving Korwin passed at 99 last month.
Irving's son, Alan, helped with putting the story to paper and publishing through his company Bloomfield Press, from which the book is available.

The Autobiogrqaphy of Irving Korwin

Remember reading that the arrival of radar was a big breakthrough in surveillance and hence awareness of the location of enemy craft. To train crews must have been a crucial behind the scenes role. Good that this is now published and available.
