Hello all! I just found this site and hoping it has alot of interesting infromation. My first bike was a 1969 tr6c back in 1976. I paid only 500.00 dollars and it ran great. I sold it for a harley and always regretted it but just couldn't afford to keep it. Two years ago I bought a 2007 America and loved it but still wanted an older triumph. Got a 77 tr7rv last november but got a 69 Bonneville semi roller a month ago so as I can afford it Ill be busy for the next year or so before I retire.

Ric, welcome to the forum from the Sunshine State. Congrats on that 69 Bonnie; that is one of the most sought after Bonnevilles. Do engine numbers and frame numbers match? We have some real knowledgeable folks here on the Meridan Triumphs. The moderator of our Classics section, GrandPaul, restores bikes for a living. You will get a lot of good help here.

Yes the numbers match but the frame has been raked. I hope to reverse that problem this winter. the motor was frozen but ten minutes after puttingPB Blaster in the spark plug holes it moves freely. Its just a beginning project I'm sure i'll be asking some guidance from everyone in the upcoming future.

Matching numbers is good. It makes the bike more valuable. I hope you can reverse the rake. Glad you got the engine freed up. TUP
