AMAL Carb Rebuild

Does anyone have any recommendation for a company/individual who specializes in rebuilding the stock carbs fro a 1977 Bonnie?

bike sat for 20 years, I found a product that melts away fuel shellac / gum very quickly, paint brush cleaner from your local hardware store the stuff is amazing.

I don't think I have ever seen one that bad!

If the slide to body wear isn't too much you should be good to go.

Our vintage bike club isn't wealthy by any means, but last year we were able to buy a sonic parts cleaner which does an amazing job on things like that.
Such a machine is a little rich for the average guy, so methods such as paint brush cleaners, do very well

I have a HF sonic cleaner not worth the money, My buddy sells dental equipment he is keeping and eye out for a used one

brush cleaner by klean strip
I get the all the visible stuff off with this, soak for a couple minutes take a tooth brush to it then soaked it in gunk carb cleaner.
soda blasted them then rubbed them down with white diamond polish/protector one carb takes about an hour to do

Ah, so it's a three-step process?

I think I'll stick with Berryman's. Soak, rinse, shiny. No rubbing, no brushing, no nothing; same result.

That's the one and only. I'll be posting the before and after pix later and you'll see what I mean.

I had the advantage of simply leaving the can full of parts out in the full south Texas sun for a couple of hours.
