We had the R3 converted to a trike. got it back yesterday. While driving it home I noticed a lot of heat coming up from the front engine / Radiator. I have had this problem with the Indians , but there is a deflector we install in the spring & remove in the fall. Anyone know of such a beast for the R3 Touring????
Thanks

Nice looking trike! Can't help with the query about a deflector, unfortunately.
Did you ride it on two wheels before the conversion, and if so did you notice heat being an issue then? The windscreen does not look stock and could be creating a vacuum behind it which will pull the heat up from around the engine and rad. Maybe try removing the screen and go for a ride.
I had a T'bird LT before my current bike that came with a tall windscreen. Once I had it cut down to where I could see over it rather than through it the heat coming off my bike was a lot less and bearable due to better airflow over the screen and created less of a vacuum behind it.

Off topic but can you tell me what conversion was used and does it have independent rear suspension? Also how much rake was put on the front end? Good looking bike. I'm keeping my '08 just for that purpose for when I get too old to hold it up. Thx.
