The Canada Day ride was washed out so we decided to make up for that by having a short ride after Sunday breakfast today.
It was foggy here on the coast and would be even foggier on our intended coastal ride so we opted to head inland for a couple of hours.
Here we are parked up at the Restaurant.

Here we are seated for breakfast. We have our own table in a "exclusive" section BGRIN
We've been going there for ten years so they cater to us a bit.

Others arrived later and there were about 20 bikes in all. The ride inland was pleasant and the fog was left behind.
When we arrived at our favourite donut shop rest spot the sun was fully out.
From there most rode back to the city, but others carried on.

It wasn't a long ride, but at least we got out.

Very nice of that restaurant to give you your own section like that, it seems even with the weather not being the best you had a nice turnout.
Pretty well every Sunday they know they will have 15-20 regular customers ($$$) so they are good to us.
Last Sunday was very foggy and would have eventually receded offshore by noon, but that was too late as we were on the road at 10:00 heading inland in search of the sun.

These breakfast gatherings started out with only a few and slowly grew over the years. We outgrew three other places and settled on this one because it's large and also fairly central for most riders.
When we called for permission to bring a large group there we told the manager that we were a motorcycle club and would be there almost every Sunday.

I learned later that the staff were shaking in their shoes because a "motorcycle gang" was coming and they weren't looking forward to serving them.

When a group of middle aged, polite, well dressed and friendly men walked in they finally relaxed. It was, "That's them? That's the gang we were worried about!" BGRIN

We don't have any groups that do Sunday runs like this as all the ones I have tried do Sunday races and I just don't enjoy that. I want a nice relaxing ride where you can enjoy the ride and the views.
