A few days ago I posted a message about the British woman, Lois Pryce, who, in 2003, rode alone from Alaska to the tip of South America. I bought her book about her epic journey and just finished reading it.
Through her web site I sent her an email to say how much I enjoyed her book, how much I admired her spunk, and to tell her about my adventures in South America. When she got to Peru and Chile it was almost like we were there together as we did and saw the same things. Her impressions and reactions were so similar to mine it was uncanny!
This is her reply:
"Thanks so much for your email. Wow! Sounds like you had some adventures too - 71 years old! You are an inspiration.
I'm glad you've recovered from your accident and will be out on the road again.
Happy travels and thanks again for writing. I'm really glad you enjoyed my book."

I ordered her new book about her ride alone from the top of Africa to the bottom and am looking forward to reading that too.
