I received a very official looking email from "Revenue Canada" telling me that they owe me $3,000.00 in overpaid income tax.
To get it all I had to do was click on the link. To further encourage you to act quickly is a note stating that the offer expires in 31 December.
Sure, as if I was going to do that! What idiots! It's all BS so if you get one be very careful.
I've received RC refunds before and it's always by a cheque in the mail with a detailed explanation.
They do not do business like this by email.

Someone will no doubt, not be as switched on as you Rocky, and loose a lot of money. There retards are scum.
BGRIN as soon as I see that somebody wants to give me money I know it's a scam.
Why, out of the blue, would I suddenly win a sweepstakes that I didn't enter, inherit money from somebody I never heard of, or be the recipient of a large sum of money from another continent?
Unfortunately, there are some who are gullible enough and greedy enough to accept free money for doing nothing.
On the one hand, I feel sorry for anyone who gets taken, but at the same time wonder how they could be so stupid!
