A Triubute to Women Serving in the Military

This came to me in an email. It is a salute to women serving in the US military and by extension to those serving in the uniforms of our allies. I thank them for their service.

We had some scary women serving in the Army during the 60,s . There seemed to be a pecking order , The Wrens (Navy) were quite good looking and civilised , The Waaf (Airforce) were similar , but the Wracs (Army) were downright dangerous , not too be crossed unless you outnumbered them 3 to 1 .

The first time I served along side females was in 1987 , some 22 years after I enlisted. It was the first time i have had a Corporal start crying on me during an interview without coffee :y72:

It was the mid 70's when I first served along side females. Until then, I had been in combat units where there were no females. When I wasa assigned to battalion HQ, there were females.
