I have destroyed one smartphone and damaged another while riding. I use my smartphone as a GPS using Google Maps when traveling distances and off pavement. I use an X cradle to hold my phone and I ride in the rain. I had never heard of a Kyocera phone; but when my Samsung S20 FE 5G bites the dust, I will replace it with a Kyocera. The review on ADVrider convinced me.

Review: Kyocera DuraForce Pro 2 “Ruggedized” Phone

AND a great GPS feature. SOLD!
I only use my phone for calling and texting, so all the other carp about download speed and surfing the net is not that important to me. When I had to replace my old Samsung Rugby LTE recently this phone did not come up on my radar, so I bought a cheap Samsung A51, 'cause I had to be able to get an Otter Box Defender for whatever phone I chose, and if I do drop, break, run over the phone did not want to be out a lot of money.
Hopefully I can get it up this way that works with my carrier's signal.

I went to the Kyocera website and apparently they are still making phones. There are ther current phones:

I followed their link to AT&T and AT&T is selling the Pro 2 new for $450.00 USD. Had I known that, I never would have bought my Galaxy S20 5G FE. Now I will try to find a used Duraforce Pro 2 to use as a GPS.
