Turning 60 tomorrow so decided to wind my 50’s up with a ride that for me was a bit different. A mate on a Ducati 750SS and myself on the Street Triple R took off at 7.30am and did about 200km on very good sealed roads with little traffic before intentionally arriving at the end of the known universe, others may know it as unsealed roads. It was only about 30km to get to the next section of quality highway but for me it was foreign. Fortunately it hadn’t rained for some time therefore no slippery mud just dust and sand. After a few km I became brave and decided 3rd gear and about 40 to 50 km / hr was my limit, the only concern in the back of my mind was not spotting a pot hole in time and doing in a rim. Because this little black duck and dirt roads are natural enemies we stopped a couple of times for photos. In the first photo the sign said 2km of winding road, can’t work that one out it was 30km. The second photo is my bike parked on the wrong side of the road beside a small termite mound. Once back onto the black top we did another 250km with a long stop off for coffee at my mate’s brothers place. Arrived home dusty but with a smile on the face at about 4.00pm, a quick dunk in the pool and then a couple of beers. What comes after 60?

Good for you :y115: Happy birthday :y18:
What comes after 60? More of the same
If you've been blessed with good health it just keeps on going and going. I'll be 73 in a few days and don't have any plans to hang up the helmet anytime soon.
60 is just a number so don't focus on it. You're only as old as you feel.........and act :y114:

Thanks for the well wishes guys. It's now Sunday morning, the family and a few of my older friends (I mean long standing friends) are coming for a BBQ and social drinks. I've doctored up a copy of my birth certificate to show 1960 instead of 1950 and am putting it into a frame.
I'm not in denial
Life's good, since the new Street Triple arrived I've been doing more miles and loving it.
Rocky, at 73 you're a spring chicken. We have a member of out club and at 82 he's still riding his BMW R100 to just about all events.

Kevin, I'm late; but I wish you a happy 60th birthday. What comes after 60? 61. :ya2: The sound like a really nice ride you took. Keep on riding, mate, for a long time to come.

Thanks Carl, it's now bang on mid day and people are about to arrive, a few beers and a little red will rule out riding today.
