`23 Speedy 1200 & Yours Truly

Hi All,
My new `23 Speedy and I just joined and we're happy to be here. I'm a retiree located about 14 minutes from the Deals Gap "Dragon" and ride it often. My Speed Twin 1200 has a few early mods with more coming. Cheers from the Smoky Mountains!

I hear the most dangerous aspect of that run is the droves of grossly incompetant riders everywhere.

I wouldn't call it "droves" but there certainly are some incompetents and they're usually "flatlanders" who arrive to slay that mean old dragon but run out of skill on a decreasing radius turn or the young lions riding 150+HP machines as their first bike. Most of the experienced local riders (including cruiser riders) are well-schooled in our mountain twisties and cause few problems. The Dragon is an incredible ride if you go early mornings during weekdays when there is very little traffic. Weekends and holidays are a circus! A dangerous circus.

Welcome from Prince Edward Island . I stayed in Teleco Plains twice and once with friends who also live on the 129 . Great area to motorcycle vacation .
