Trading my Rocket 3R in for a T120 Black for the same reasons as you. Should take delivery of my new T120 on the first of March. 68 years old this year and I wanted something lighter. Rocket is a great bike.
My Thruxton R feels like a dump truck rolling it around the garage, I'm thinking it's the shorter bars, rake and trail with it still being a bit of a lump in centralized weight. My Speed Triple feels like rolling a bicycle around in comparison. My T120 weighs like 520 pounds, the Thrux R is about 40 pounds lighter and feels 40 pounds heavier. The Speedy is 437 pounds chock full of fluids.
Lightweight compared to the Gen 1 bikes. They tipped the scales at 797 pounds wet.
