What is the OEM fork oil/fluid on the 2020 T120? Brand, weight?

When swapping fork springs for a simple progressive set is there any concern about potential volume loss and replacement in the swap for any oil that travels out with the old spring? I never see that mentioned or factored. Thinking not but thought I'd ask the question.

Thanks.

Fork oil level should be measured by height from the top of the fork tube rather than oil volume. With T120 Right tube ( with damper) should be 126mm, left tube ( without damper) should be 165mm. Don't forget to pump the right damper rod to remove any trapped air before final measurement. Then refit springs. I use Castrol synthetic 10W (OEM is 10W) and at 2 years old / 10000 miles, oil was grey ,so replaced. I would be surprised if the fork oil seals had not failed before the 4 year/40000mile recommended interval!

be aware viscosity varies among brands + centistokes give a true value, search + learn!!

When I removed my original springs, i got them so the bottom was just out of the oil in the fork tube and put a thin screwdriver thru the sping and let them sit and drain back into the forks for 30 mins before fully removing the springs.

I'd still check the measured height of oil in fork legs before refitting the new springs.
