This is the 2019 1200 Triumph scrambler. It's fairly obvious that it was intended to be in direct competition with the new and larger displacement Ducati scrambler.
I've never been an off-road guy so it doesn't appeal to me, but I'm sure many will like it.

It does look like competition for the Ducati, visually. From what I've seen of the Ducati, though, it's not made for more than occasional off-road use. I think the Triumph is a better dual use bike. Just my opinion, of course.

That is a bloody awsome bike and about time too that Triumph biult a proper scrambler that might actually be able to do some scrambling ?

This is more the style I would class as a scrambler. I always looked at the first ones and thought they really would not do that great if you really went into the bush with it.
I agree. I always thought the former scrambler was more of a styling exercise and more of a street scrambler than a real off-roader.
This one looks more like the real deal.

I like the one with the high mudguards but my only thought is possibly the weight of these bikes, would it be rather heavy in some of the dirt conditions to move around.
I agree.
I think it will take some muscle to wrestle them around in the rough going, but a good and strong rider can probably handle it.

Even when I was still in my early 20's this bike could be a bit hard to handle in some of the places I would take it and as you can see it was not that big for my build at the time. (not the best photos but you get the idea)

Anything 2stroke is mow mega money even the little 50cc bikes fetch thousands now .... its the old thing about ban it and the price doubles over night !

I just looked on eBay and was shocked to see what these are now selling for

A 2 stroke sure gives you a rush when you take off and crank that throttle open, I have never experienced a rush like that with speed.
