Good day,

When I bought the 1995 TBird 900 this past summer the one thing that it was missing was a center strand. The last time I bought one for my TBird 900 Sport they were becoming scarce as pink flamingos in the Antarctic! I was directed to Sprint Mfg. who had them at one time but no longer stocked them, but were planning on getting a new batch manufactured. Trev sent me a note towards the middle of October, they were in and I ordered one straight away.

Attached are some photos of the unit installed on the bike and I a extremely pleased with the quality thus far, as it makes working on the TBird so much easier as I am too cheap to buy a front wheel chock!

I was looking at the Sprint web site and noticed that they have removed the centre stands for the Legend/ThunderBirds which doesn't surprise in that iI am sure a number of folks ordered the item as well. I know I am sure happy with the unit, but will wait to see how it fairs once I get it off the lift and actually try it out!

Last year I bought a Sprint engineering centre stand for my 2002 Tbird 900 great quality but I can’t get the bike onto the stand it takes two people to pull the bike back onto the stand and the rear wheel is 3” off the floor, the only way I can gat it on the stand is to run the rear wheel on to a piece of timber then pull the bike back onto its stand. I have the same problem getting it off the stand it’s extremely hard to push it off the stand.

Good day John,

Have to agree with you about getting the centre stand down that requires brute strength! I have found I have to put foot wear that are solid on the underside (no running shoes allowed) and I grab under the left seat rail with the left foot on the step rail. The motion is a push n pull…. Getting off the stand, put your foot just in front of the left foot stand and push with the handle bars. Should come of the stand easily.

I have empathy as the centre stand is not easy and the only time I use it is when in the shop doing maintenance!

Did they supply all the hardware to mount the center stand? Nice bike!

SHEESH! Go to the gym! I'm 74 years old with a plastic right knee and can get it up on the center stand while standing on the floor WHEN IT'S ON THE LIFT!- use the frame loop by the passenger foot rest.

I'll double Sheesh that! Oh, by the way I am 3.5 years away from turning 80, so go do the math. If I can get it up on the centre stand, so can you!
