Rocker location for the 1975 Trident t160. There are cast numbers on the rockers and my mechanic is putting my engine back together and feels that the rockers are NOT in the proper spots. There are 4 different cast numbers for the 6 rockers. Or the part number that is associated with the cast number. Can anyone assist?

I'd have to pull the caps on mine and HOPE I could see the casting numbers. No time for that anytime soon.
It's pretty illogical, if you ask me, to have a different part number and casting number for the same part, yet it is done in most cases on classic Triumphs...

Have a look at a parts manual, if it shows 6 rockers you know they are all the same regardless of casting numbers. If it shows 3 inlet and 3 ex rockers you know inlets are interchangeable and likewise for the ex rockers. If it shows 6 different parts then you have the problem of working out the proper position for each.
I think you will find all are the same or it's 3 and 3. When I rebuilt the top of my T150 I just laid them out and reassembled in the same order so didn't look too hard for differences.
