Hi all,
I'm new to the forum. I'm retired and have been riding motorcycles my whole life. One of by past times is restoring vintage motorcycles in my garage. Currently ….I'm restoring a a Triumph. 69 Triumph…which someone has told me …it may have been built in a BSA factory.

Can anyone suggest any good suppliers? I live in Florida.
Thank you in advance,
Steve S

may have been built in a BSA factory.
It is a BSA, just with Triumph badges - from the early 1960's in the UK, learners had been restricted to 250 until they passed their government test for a full motorcycle licence; Triumph had had the Tiger Cub but, in the mid 1960s, BSA (Triumph's parent) decided something better was needed to replace both the Cub and BSA 250s.

Afaik, the Triumph version was part-built - certainly the engine, possibly the frame - at the BSA works in Small Heath, Birmingham, then trucked over to Meriden to be finished and dispatched.

good suppliers?
In the USA, your starting point should be Peter Quick, BSA Unit Singles - other dealers will undoubtedly have some parts but, difficult to get part, if Peter does not have it, chances are no one does.

Peter - and the three books by "Rupert Ratio" (Peter can probably supply to save you postage from the UK) - can advise essential modifications - BSA made the 250 too cheaply, e.g. the standard 250 big end bearing shells are white metal  iirc, the much better Triumph 500 big end bearing shells fit.
