HELP!!! Replaced clutch friction plates & reassembled the whole lash-up following shop manual & same as I took it apart, now clutch pull is so weak the clutch lever won't even spring back. I know the actuating are is connecting to the clutch pull rod when I pull the clutch lever, but doesn't feel like its doing its job. Started in neutral & it sounds normal, pull clutch lever in, but I don't trust that the clutch will function so I haven't put it in gear yet. No clue where to go from here. Any ideas much appreciated.

Wow, I am sorry to hear. I can't think of anything perhaps another more clutch/transmission experienced member can assist?
Put the bike in gear, pull the lever in, crank it and see what happens, it may be ok, also does it have any other adjustments?
I'm with David on this, try a start with it in gear. If it lurches release the starter. You might just need to adjust the cable for a better feel.
