**Heading on my home from the Notary with my Tiger 955i**
**Noticed a drip or two of gas**
**Drips turned to waterfall**
**Culprit!?; You guessed it, the damn plastic female fuel line connectors**
<<Picture to follow>>

Here's the follow up pic! Icing on the cake; this was in my father-in-laws driveway.

The connector on the my Tiger 800XC came off twice. It was not broken; I just did not put it back in solidly. It felt like it was locked; but it was not.

I never realized how much 3 gallons of fuel is...until it spills! LOL. :y10:
Good thing I had a half of a tank during this EPIC Failure.

So those female fuel line connectors are 1/4" diameter with a thread pattern that gets larger as you tighten it. I ended up buying from Quick-Couplings, part no.

Now the tricky part is
HOW DO YOU REMOVE THE OLD BUSTED ONE WITHOUT GETTING PLASTIC SHAVINGS IN THE TANK??

I came across a youtube video posted by a motorcycle mechanic in the USA. He had a brilliant idea.
***Step 1***Completely remove/drain all fuel from tank. Really important!!
***Step 2***Remove all that foreign matter associated with coupler. I.e. spring mechanism.
***Step 3***Grab a large flat-head screw driver. Heat the tip with a blow torch for 10 seconds (the portable cylinder type you’d get for camping).
***Step 4***Walk over to bike (should take you less than 5 seconds. Place the screw driver on the busted coupler. Then push but not too hard. Wait about 30 seconds then start unscrewing the busted coupler.
***Step 5***Existing coupler comes out with ease!
