Hello,
Recently changed tires on my speedmaster and speedo stopped working about 300 miles later. I thought I noticed a new faint clicking sound coming from speedo while rolling bike back or forward in neutral with engine off after reinstalling wheel and cable to sensor. I am noticing the hub speed sensor unit does not move when I spin the tire on a bike stand, seems like it should move when spinning the wheel, is this correct?
Now wondering if I should have removed the speed sensor from the wheel before dropping off to bike shop to mount and balance?
I have ordered a new cable and a used speed sensor, so hoping one or both do the trick, if not I guess its in the speedometer itself?
Any thoughts or advice greatly appreciated
