    Head bolt replacemeant?

    This will probably be directed at grandpaul, but advise from all is appreciated. Just got head back from machine work, on newer car and motorcycles they recommend new head bolts after taking apart. This will be the 3rd top end tear down, should I replace the head bolts? Thanks in advance

    68 front end

    This is the way I got the bike, I would like to bring it back to stock, motor is at Maury's in ringwood il, , I would like to put the righ forks ,bars , and headlight bracket on. Is 67,68,69 all the same? Any help would be greatly appreciated

    heli coil?

    Ok, ive taken the motor out and apart,68 650 bonnie, found a good british bike machinist, while taking apart i found that the clutch cable thread going into gearbox cover is striped, is there a heli coil option for this or do i need to replace cover? if so size? thanks

    Is it still good?

    If u look left of bolt in between cycls, there must have been a breech. Head has slight melting, gasket looked good, how much can stock head be milled? Put on machinist stone and can get .003 in between cylinders on head. Think head bolts got used too many times on rebuilds?

    Hello all, recently inherited a 68 Bonnie. Several years ago it was taken on a ride, lost power, no compression. Upon tAking out spark plugs, could see dime size hole in one piston.
