Hi all...First bike I ever rode was a ex WD. BSA M20 It belonged to me elder brother I was about 14 years old then. at 15 it was a James laughingly named Sports Captain . Moving on to a Triumph Cub C. a cracking little bike, on it I could thrash my mates Norton jubilee . Had a lovely little green 50's Bantam sold it on quick Then BSA M21with box sidecar both of these m/c's brought for a fiver each just did it up to sell it Then paid £20 for a Triumph 500 with an ally engine went full on café racer fitted twin carbs the lot . Then a plunger BSA. A7 that got chopped ,sold that and the Cub and brought a very low mileage Mk11 BSA.Spitfire . At this time another mate wanted me to buy his 1923 bored out 1320 BSA J12 I was not interested but in the end 3 pounds changed hands and it was reluctantly mine ! it had a total loss oiling system fed at the cylinders and out through the sump . One day coming home from work, on the Spitfire I noticed that the J12 was missing . on enquiring, my mother said 'I was fed up with the oil mess on the path and I have sold it. ,I asked, how much did you sell it for, she replied Three pounds !!!! They were great times all in all notwithstanding. I have never been without a Bike. Only ever ridden one Japanese bike for about 5 min. In the stable now I have a hopped 58 BSA. A10 and a 55. BB33 repatriated from America Also a 1340 1984 H/D Wide Glide . and my beloved 1956 T110 that started life as a Triton before a shed fire in the 80.s ( don't ask). I do not ride as much these days as the roads and traffic are dire in these parts but I still love spannering and keep em' all in good fettle .............R.

Welcome.
Yes, the roads in Blighty could be better. I try avoid to going around corners these days. Likely to be an ejiit way over centre line, or a stonking pothole, waiting around them.

Yes. and sadly these days we no longer have a local motorcycle scene. but then over the years so many wonderful things and many freedoms that we took for granted have been lost also !

Loved your into! Howdy and welcome from Houston! Post some pictures old and new. Would love to see them if you have pictures.
You can enter Triumph of the Month too now, now you're back on two wheels. No more excuses! Must be a shop, bar, etc . near you!

I thought about it yesterday, but wasn’t that comfortable taking a bit longer journey. I think I can try and see if I’m up to it. Perhaps I’ll feel stronger by the 23rd and take a short Sunday ride.

This was the bb33 looks somewhat different now !

Ooo. I feel a wimping out coming on!
I chosen my location. It's so absurdly near, I'm not even going to kickstart the engine, just push the thing.
